There are many boys / men who would like to look like professional body builders or wrestlers. However, they may be struggling with gaining weight. There are several reasons why they may not be gaining weight effectively.
- Improper diet
A poor diet is the major reason why boys / men may be unable to add weight. Adding weight requires that one eats a diet that is both balanced and nutritious. Boys and men need to eat more protein but less carbs in order to add weight. Proteins can be found in such foods as poultry, beans, beef, fish and eggs. Milk and soya beans are also good protein sources. Fruits and vegetable should always be part of the diet.

In order to build weight effectively, it is important that you exercise. Exercise helps convert food into healthy mass. Boys and men should hire professional trainers to help them develop exercise programs and regimes. Trainers encourage them to engage in such activities as walking and jogging every single day. Exercises also help tone muscles.
- Lacking motivation
You will not be able to gain weight unless you feel the need to. The mind is considered to be a very powerful thing. You need to keep your motivation level high. Boys and men can get your close family members and friends to offer support so that they can keep going. Practicing in yoga and other meditation activities can also keep one motivated. At the end of the day boys and men need to understand that gaining weight is a process that cannot be realized overnight.
