When talking about weight, girls are the most affected group. Women in general are very particular about their weight whether it is a loss or gain. In the recent years having a model size weight has become an obsession for most girls, therefore weight gain is not something most girls would want for themselves especially those that are young. People are different and have different body types, these differences make our bodies function differently and one person’s weight gain pattern is very unique to them as individuals. There are several reasons why a girl may gain weight, which include age, change in diet and health problems.

1.Age

Age is a big determinant when it comes to weight gain in girls. As girls grow and develop there are seasons in their life in which they will gain weight because of the associated changes. Puberty is one such period; girls will tend to add weight rapidly during this time because of the changes that take place in their body. These changes normally affect their hormones which play a big role in determining weight gain in their bodies.

2.Change in Diet

Diet is a major cause of weight gain; in fact most people assume that weight gain is mainly as a result of diet problems. If a girl changes what they normally eat or increases the normal amount of food she takes, an increase in weight is most likely to be detected. Some girls’ eating habits are changed by their menstrual cycle and this may cause a change in their diet, which may ultimately lead to weight gain during this time.

3.Health problems

Diseases like heart and kidney ailments may cause weight gain in a girl and this gain may be very rapid. Girls are known to be highly emotional and a change in their emotional state may lead to them taking a lot of food that may also lead to weight gain.
