How to gain weight healthily:

Pay attention to your diet. Eat healthy foods. Some of the things you should include in your healthy diet are pulses, lean meat, porridge and whole meal.

Other healthy weight gain essentials are:

  • Milk-this is especially important if you do not like eating. Milk is healthy and adds up to 100 calories a glass in your diet.
  • Fiber- these aid in digestion and help you to ingest food you have eaten. Healthy source of fiber is whole cereals and vegetables.
  • Water-plenty of water is healthy for the body. Especially if you are taking in a lot of protein foods since they tend to produce a lot of waste in the body. Lots of water flushes the toxins out and leave you feeling healthy.
  • Late night snack: eat something healthy before you go to sleep. Timing is important because it reduces the amount of time you will have spent without eating before breakfast.
  • Eating lots of fries, cookies and hamburgers may help you gain weight, but they will not help you develop healthy bones, good skin or tone you up. You need to eat right in order to bulk up healthily.
  • Keep an eye on your calorie intake. Increase the amount of calories you take per day in a healthy manner. However you do not have to overeat. This is not good for your wellness as it will cause you discomfort and probably even give you heartburn.
  • If you are a vegetarian, take a lot of supplements to make up for the nutrients you are missing from dietary products and other meats.

Exercise

You need to be physically fit. Doing strength training does not necessarily have to involve weight lifting. Not exercising at all is not healthy and is not good for your overall wellness unless you are dangerously skinny or ill.
