Soda gain weight is easy because it is very easy to consume as much soda as one desires based on the flavor of that soda. A soda potentially contains 300 calories with high amounts of sugar, therefore if you eat your regular meal and then add a 12 ounce can of soda, you will have consumed more calories than your body requires.

Soda gain weight is usually as a result of the sugar that is added in the soda thus making it have more sugar than the recommended limit in a day. Actually a 20 ounce bottle of soda contains 15 teaspoons of sugar and the recommended intake of sugar in a day is about 9 teaspoons. If you need to gain weight in a healthy way try the following options instead of drinking soda to gain weight:

  • 1 scoop of ice cream in a day
  • A muffin
  • 2 cups of fresh pineapple juice
  • 1 banana
  • 3 cups of fresh water lemon
  • 2 oranges or fresh orange juice

A soft drink alongside other beverages and food stuffs can lead to a healthy diet if used in restraint. People consuming soda gain weight more than those who take fresh juice in moderation. It is always advisable that whatever you take into your mouth must be in moderation be it water, green tea, coffee, fresh juice or any other beverage.

A soda is a soda it does not matter whether it is diet soda or it is a regular soda, the bottom line is that they all contain sugar in large amounts.
