There are numerous weight-gain formulas in the market today. However, for many underweight people, the trick lies in choosing the formula that work best for them.  Ideally, a formula should be inclusive of high calorie, but healthy diet, a regular exercise regime and dietary supplements that would help provide the body with some of the vital nutrients it needs.

The weight-gain formulas differ depending on the need of the person who wants to gain weight. Some want to pack up muscles, while others are simply tired of being too thin and thus just wants to gain weight unselectively.  Below are some target groups for the weight-gain formulas:

The weight-gain formulas targeting such contain protein supplements which help rebuild and repair muscles that are torn during exercise. The formula also aids to improve the digestions of nutritious calories.
