Underweight people are at an increased risk or contracting disease due to their low immunity and they recover much slower than normal-weighing people. Simply put; underweight is unhealthy. But what does one need to do to ensure that the low weight does not become too much of a healthy risk?
- Do not give up: After trying to gain weight for so long, many underweight people are frustrated and thus give up trying to gain weight. It is recommended that one keeps trying. This also means that a person needs to keep gaining insight into effective weight strategies published in different resources. One of them might just work!
- Never skip meals. Some underweight people are simply poor eaters. They skip meals and when they do eat, they rarely eat sufficient amounts to sustain the body requirements. Ideally, a person should a high-energy breakfast, a well-balanced lunch and a well-balanced dinner. The three meals should be made up of sufficient amounts to satisfy the body. In between the main meals, one can eat other small meals mainly made of vegetables or fruits.
- Exercise: by now, the lean people know that they too should exercise. However, most of them refrain from doing so in the belief thatexercise will further exacerbate their low weight problem. This is not necessarily true. Research indicates that regular physicalexercises help a person build muscle thus increasing the overall body weight.
- Keep your body hydrated by drinking sufficient amounts of clean water. When one does not drink water, the body cells shrink especially because the body slowly acquires an alkaline state which drains of water therefore reducing weight. Food allergies cause one to crave for the same foods that he or she is allergic to. As a result, they end up eating a lot of the same food, which is not fully used by the body. The excess consumed food is stored in the body as fat.
